Modern bursary management system
From paper forms to transparent, trackable awards.
Moves a county's paper bursary form online: students register, complete the four-part application with auto-save and track their status, while the fund administrator reviews applications against a budget, awards or rejects them, and produces letters and reports.
The problem
Paper bursary forms were slow to process, hard to audit and easy to lose.
What we built

Rebuilt the official four-part form as a multi-step web application with drafts and auto-save.

Added budget tracking that blocks awards exceeding the remaining balance.

Generated award and rejection letters, summaries and CSV reports in the browser.

Secured the administrator account with Firebase Authentication and hashed applicant passwords.
