RoboKid: CBC learning for Grades 1 to 3
Curriculum-aligned learning games with an AI storyteller.
A learning web app for Kenyan children in Grades 1 to 3, built around the KICD Competency-Based Curriculum. It combines a browsable curriculum reference, practice questions, learning games and AI-generated stories and puzzles, in English, Kiswahili and three mother tongues.
The problem
Young learners rarely get engaging practice material in their own language.
What we built

Structured about 40 lower-primary sub-strands with outcomes, activities and assessment criteria.

Built a bank of practice questions with explanations, and ten learning games.

Generated stories, puzzles and quizzes with Gemini, with an open-model fallback.

Added five languages with a built-in dictionary and cached translations.
